Piano Teacher

Duties: Private Piano instruction

Hours: 5-10 hrs/week

Hello there! Jacaranda is seeking a Piano Teacher who loves kids, is proficient in reading and performing sheet music, and has the gift to help kids learn to play music! 

Jacaranda Music Studios (Jacaranda) located in Brea, CA provides high quality private music lesson services for students K - 12th grade. Our structured, yet individualized, and “just-plain-fun” music lessons are the reason why families love Jacaranda.

Piano teachers are responsible for: teaching skill appropriate curriculum to students, recommending books, instruments and materials to parents, preparing students for recital performances, attending and assisting in recital rehearsals and performances and attending teachers meetings.

Previous teaching experience preferred and/or bachelors/working towards bachelors in piano performance or music education.

Qualifications

• Love working with children

• Intentional in caring for students needs

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage the progress of 15-30 students.

• Are comfortable teaching all styles or even arranging songs from the radio

• Consistent availability blocks for lesson scheduling

• Bachelors of Music or Bachelors of Arts or 2-4 years relevant teaching experience

• Ability to teach more than one instrument is a plus

Drum Teacher

Duties: Private Drum instruction

Hours: 1-5/week

Drum teachers are responsible for: teaching skill appropriate curriculum to students, recommending books, instruments and materials to parents, preparing students for recital performances, attending and assisting in recital rehearsals and performances and attending teachers meetings
